Ride for a cause: Supporting Highland Charities

Bridge to Bridge 2026 - Saturday 12th September

Established in 2022, Bridge to Bridge is a volunteer-run event which continues to grow in both scale and community support each year.

It’s more than just a cycle, it’s a celebration of the amazing community spirit that runs through the Highlands. There’s a real sense of camaraderie, with everyone pulling together to support local charities and make the event a success. From the start to the finish line, the route is lined with friendly faces and some of the best home baking the Highlands has to offer!

The event is held annually in September - in 2026 this will be Saturday 12th - registration details for the 2026 cycle can be found HERE. Full route details can be found on Strava.

Every year applications will be opened to Highlands and Islands-based charities to become beneficiaries. See who we are supporting this year by clicking on the button below.

Event Key Information

We've had quite a few queries about how we get you and your bike to the start point in Kyle. Unless you have advised us that you will be meeting in Kyle (which you are welcome to do), ALL RIDERS need to drop their bicycle at Ark Estates, 36C Longman Drive, Inverness, IV1 1SU between 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday 11 September.

The following morning - event day - Saturday 12th September, you need to arrive at North Kessock at 05.30am  ready to board buses to travel to the start point in the Kyle of Lochalsh.

Your event start time will be allocated on the basis of your predicted riding time.

Final instructions will be sent to you 2 weeks before the event.

Supporting local charities

100% of funds raised go directly to our charities.

Supporting local charities is at the heart of everything we do. Thanks to our generous sponsors, every penny raised goes directly to our beneficiaries, each supported for up to two years to ensure lasting impact. Last year alone, Bridge to Bridge raised over £104,257 for local charities.

We’re delighted to share that in 2026 we’ll be supporting Àban Outdoor, alongside our returning 2025 charities This Is Me Highland and Highland Action For Little Ones - Halo - three amazing charities making a real difference to the lives of young people across the Highlands.

Supporting smaller, local charities has always been at the heart of Bridge to Bridge, and this year we’re proud to extend that support even further. We’ll also be making donations to:

  • Inspire Project (based in Inverness Cathedral, dedicated to St. Andrew)
  • Disability Sport - Highland
  • Inverness Women's Aid
  • Outfit Moray
  • Highland Hospital Radio

Every single penny raised will go straight to these local causes, and we can’t wait to see the impact we can make together in 2026.

Help make a difference - one mile at a time
